On the Train Derailment

The derailment of a train in town in Ohio has prompted many on the right to blame President Biden for the tragedy when the truth is that it was Republican President Donald Trump who rescinded safety regulations surrounding trains carrying hazardous materials. This is just the latest in a long standing disaster of thought going on in the United States by members of the Republican Party. Many on the right are wondering where Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, this might be a valid concern however I would remind those on the right that had Mr. Trump not rescinded the safety rules this disaster may not have occurred.

It would appear many have forgotten the idea that elections have consequences and that we get the government we deserve which means that if the polity elects radical and dangerous free market purists the trains may derail.

Donald Trump and the free market purists are responsible for the train derailment, not the Biden administration. This is just another attempt by the Republicans to play the blame game, rather than the accept responsibly for their dangerous policies.
