Oz
Former President and career criminal Trump endorsed Oz
Just this past weekend, while I was attending an event for the only candidate running in PA for the Senate who can, without a doubt in my mind, deliver another Senate Seat for Democrats, Mr. Trump endorsed Mehmet Oz, the TV doctor turned wannabe Senator. In the Democratic field, we have a frontrunner who the Republican Party will be jumping for joy to have as their opponent. I won't rehash my issues with current Lietantent Governor Fetterman.
If he is the nominee, Oz will come off to many in the Commonwealth as a moderate sane middle-of-the-road Republican. Think about your grandfather's conservatism, and that is the image Dr. Oz conjures into the mind, even though Dr. Oz is nothing like a sane Republican. The only one that still exists in the Commonwealth is probably Charlie Dent, the former congressman who, if the Republicans were smart, would start listening to a whole helluva lot more, but that doesn't occur.
Take a moment to consider the stakes in the Democratic primary. Three Democrats are running, and only one can expand the electorate out of those three. The one is someone who has either now or in the past embraced Democratic Socialism. He now likes to refer to himself as a populist. The one is a candidate from Philadelphia who, for all purposes, the Republican Party will brand as the same sort of liberal that comes with the populist. The other is a "Casey Democrat" (Senator Bob Casey is PA's Democratic Senator and is a moderate common-sense Democrat who, like his father, has run successful campaigns all across the Commonwealth). Conor Lamb is the only candidate currently seeking the Democratic nomination who scares every Republican in the field.
