Seditious Scott Perry
As I've mentioned before, I reside in Pennsylvania in the 10th Congressional District, home to Seditious Scott Perry. Congressmen Perry played a direct part in the attempted coup on our government, like several other Congress members, told the big lie, which led to an armed insurrection at the nation's capital.
I went on WITF's Smart Talk to discuss Congressmen Perry and his attacks on our Democracy.
We must hold our members of congress accountable regardless of a political party. We have to remember that those elected to power answer, not to the wealthy donors but us.
We cannot afford to move on. We must insist on accountability and accountability of those who would instead fly a criminal con man's flag than the American flag.
Looking to the week ahead, it is still clear that the Republican Party intends to prevent all progress in America. We must eliminate the Senate's filibuster, which would allow for a simple majority when it comes to passing legislation. Progress demands we abolish the filibuster, which was born out of individual Senate members wishing to prevent progress after the civil war. If Democrats are going to maintain the gains made in the Senate, they will have to wield power in such a way that the Republican Party has for the previous four years.
