Team Normal is a lie
Mike Pence is no hero

One of the threads that came out of the January 6 hearings this week was the following two groups were advising Mr. Trump (who engaged in a terrorist act against the United States). One of those groups was “Team Normal,” and the other was “Team Crazy.” Team Normal does not exist. The argument that Team Normal would want Americans to believe is that they attempted to save the Republic from ruin. We saw an argument from many who joined Mr. Trump’s administration and then left early on. The argument goes the nation was better off with me serving as a stop-gap to Mr. Trump doing more damage.
Team Normal is a lie. Some are now claiming that Mike Pence is a hero. Mr. Pence fulfilled his oath to the Constitution. Pence, to a degree, showed courage on January 6. Still, heroism would have been returning to the White House after fulfilling the oath to the Constitution on that frightful day and immediately calling for the cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment that would have been heroism.
Team Normal would have also done the work that Pence refused. They would have been calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment. Team normal is just as delusion as Team crazy. One can take solace, however, in knowing that Team crazy is willing to make it known they are crazy, whereas the other group wants to pretend to be normal.
A note on the hearings, it is clear these hearings are intended for an audience of one that is the Attorney General of the United States. It is increasingly likely that the Department of Justice will eventually bring indictments of certain Trump cabinet officials. They need to target the person at the head of the beast, Mr. Trump.
