The Midterms

These are the final days potentially for American Democracy. We are days away from the midterm elections, and the Republicans will end up winning back the House, which was expected. Republicans are looking better day by day to win the United States Senate and to win several governor races that should not be in play, for example, New York, where in the final days of the elections, they’ve had to dispatch President Biden.

Democrats had good odds of holding the senate until just recently. Certain politicians decided to debate when in all reality, they should not have, and other Democrats refused outright to discuss. Suppose Republicans win where Democrats ran ads in support of more extreme candidates. In that case, it will only confirm what many people in America already feel about politics that it is all about power and that our national polity is devoid of values. If this is the case Democrats are to blame for their failures on election day.
