Trump
Calls for more Violence
The wheels of justice move slowly, but they grind at an ever-steady pace, and it appears that Mr. Trump, the former president and disgraced American, will be indicted in the coming days. Mr. Trump posted to his fake Twitter company telling his supporters that they must “take their country back,” this is the same person who incited a coup. Trump has predicted that he will be arrested on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. This would be a first for the American Republic and a necessary thing for the Republic. It would prove to every American that the rule of law is final and that you will be prosecuted if you break the law.
Mr. Trump has long enjoyed a history of being above the law. However, that appears to be ending, and one can hope that the indictment is the first of many to come for the career criminal. While I understand the need to attempt to tone down the rhetoric in the American polity, I will rejoice once the American legal system finally indicts the career criminal.
Some Americans will undoubtedly listen to their leader and go out into the streets to protest against the arrest of Donald Trump; however, those Americans would be wrong again in their protests. While I don’t disagree with their right to protest, I do disagree with their right to protest when the reason they are protesting is simply illogical. Illogical in that we all saw the violence on January 6 with our own eyes and know damn well that Trump called the ilk of America to engage in an attempted coup.
While this is not the January 6 and the coup attempt charges, nor is it the Georgia election interference case, it is just the extended start of the wheels of justice catching up to the career criminal, Donald Trump.
