Unfortunately, we might not be in this predicament with trump if nixon and agnew had been held properly to account: nixon should not have been pardoned and agnew should not have been able to plea deal his way out of prison. Additionally, with the advent of the nixon and agnew scandals, DOJ should never have penned the infamous DOJ memo stating, "that a sitting president can not be indicted," and the first order of business for Merritt Garland should have been the dissolution of that insane memo. trump incited an insurrection and should be held accountable to section 3 of the 14th Amendment that prohibits anyone who incites an insurrection from running or holding elected office. Also, It is insane that anyone who is indicted for federal or state crimes can run a political campaign, or worse, can even run a political office from prison. This insanity should have been reformed decades ago. It is also insane that we still govern by vintage principals of Roman and British governance. In the future, whenever Democrats have full control: Presidency, House and Senate, we should immediately call a Constitutional Convention to reform the precepts of our governance that truly serve the "Will of the People" and root out all individual, civil and social injustices.
